Intermodal and climate-friendly: From summer TFG will integrate Italy into her AlbatrosExpress network for the first time and will also expand its of-fer to the western ports

From July 2021, the AlbatrosExpress network will also extend to Milan and Verona. The AlbatrosExpress trains will run up to ten times a week between the northern Italian industrial belt and the German seaports and between the western ports as well. The Italian services are operated in partnership with Kombiverkehr and Optimodal. In recent months, the Alpine transit by rail had proved not only to be a climate-friendly alternative, but also a crisis-proof alternative. TFG is also responding to the strong growth in container and intermodal transport as the seaports of Antwerp and Rotterdam.  


For example, TFG connects Regensburg with Rotterdam and Antwerp and is expanding her daily western ports offer by ten new departures a week. TFG´s new portfolio for the western ports thus includes flexible and high-frequency connections between Regensburg, Nuremberg, Munich, Burghausen, Ludwigshafen, Wolfurt and the major container terminals for the maritime sector in Rotterdam and Antwerp. In addition to combined transport, single-car transport is also offered on all routes. With this international positioning and new range of services in the western, northern and southern ports, TFG is expanding her network and offering hits customers additional international transport solutions every day.
