Digitalization on course – paperless train

Article: Digitalization on course – paperless train

We are striving to eliminate paper waste. Printing kilograms of paper, only to have it end up in the
recycling bin, goes against our corporate philosophy of sustainability.

Having agreed it with our customers and partners, we now only send them paper documents where the law explicitly requires these to be kept on paper. This applies in particular to hazardous goods information and customs documents. As the vast majority of containers are loaded with "harmless" goods, such paperwork is not required, and all the information needed for consignments is transmitted electronically.
This saves us 1.5 million pages per year.
