box2rail 2.0 gives customers an overview of transportation chain capacities for rail and road alike

The online booking platform box2rail was launched at the 2017 transport logistic trade fair, and this year sees it move to the next stage with a new addition for rail freight: A capacity display feature for truck transportation. This complements the existing capacity display for rail connections, so now box2rail 2.0 provides customers with a comprehensive overview of the entire transportation chain's capacities.

box2rail can be used to book transportation services for as little as a single container. The process needs just a few clicks: The three steps of request, offer, and reservation are all customers have to do to get a "box" moving by train. We only need four items of information with your booking inquiry: Port, destination, date of dispatch, and container type. You then receive price information and a capacity overview straight away, without the need to register or sign up.

box2rail customers benefit from a more streamlined booking process, intuitive usability, transparency of costs and capacities, real-time customer service, and a live creditworthiness check for instant bookings. The environmental friendliness of rail transportation and impressive reach of the AlbatrosExpress network for TFG's seaport hinterland services are just two more arguments in favor of using straight-forward rail connections for moving containers.

"Whether you have one, two or more containers, box2rail is tailored to your needs. We want our service to attract even more customers to rail-based solutions and show that transporting freight by train is a simple process. It's also huge fun to convert the openings created by digitalization into benefits for our customers and to seize new opportunities for transparency in the logistics sector, i.e. our train-and-truck capacity display," says Dr. Bernd Pahnke, Spokesperson of the Board of Managing Directors at TFG Transfracht.
