TFG Transfracht offers connections to Erfurt Terminal

As from February 2, 2016, TFG Transfracht will integrate Erfurt Terminal into the AlbatrosExpress network and increase the number of connections between the German seaports and eastern Germany from 34 to 44 departures per week.

In future, five trains per week will run between central Thuringia and the container terminals in Bremerhaven and Hamburg. Amongst other things, they will carry containers for the distribution center of a major furniture company in Erfurt. The terminal supplements Erfurt’s freight village and has excellent links to the main Halle/Erfurt-Berlin railroad line via Vieselbach station. The terminal is operated by Deutsche Umschlaggesellschaft Schiene-Straße (DUSS) mbH.

“We are delighted to offer this direct link in response to demand for intermodal transport solutions in this region,” stated Frank Gedat, TFG Transfracht Regional Manager East.
