Extended container services at Riesa terminal

TFG Transfracht and Sächsische Binnenhäfen Oberelbe GmbH (SBO) have already cooperated successfully for ten years at Riesa terminal on the River Elbe.

Since the inauguration of the AlbatrosExpress Terminal on May 17, 2005, approx. 300,000 TEU have been carried between Dresden/Riesa and the various container terminals in Bremerhaven and Hamburg. The AlbatrosExpress Riesa operates five round trips per week.

Since the official inauguration of the new container service building in October 2015, Sächsische Binnenhäfen Oberelbe GmbH (SBO) can now offer its customers a comprehensive range of container services, from which TFG Transfracht customers also benefit.

With a net operating area of approx. 1,600 m², two 8-ton indoor cranes and four roller doors, each with a clear height of approx. 8.60 meters, the new heated container service building offers ideal conditions for providing a full range of services covering all aspects of container transportation. The portfolio ranges from repairs and cleaning to the installation of inlets right through to labeling and de-labeling as well as container stuffing and packing.

Riesa container terminal also offers the storage of empty and loaded containers, depot management as well as interchange, customs clearance and dangerous goods inspections. Container trading and sales are also integral parts of the service portfolio.
